The coronavirus test of 9-year-old Makenzie Gongora, who lives in San Antonio, USA, was positive.
The little girl, whose father was the National Guard, was in 4th grade.
Saying that she felt sick after school, Makenzie showed signs of fever as well as intense headache.
The little girl’s mother took her child to the Brooke Army Medical Center and had a covid-19 test.
Doctors sent the little girl, whose test was positive, home as a standard practice and warned them to bring her family back to the hospital if she had respiratory problems.
It was taken care of at home, it got worse
9-year-old Makenzie, who was taken to home care, showed signs of recovery at first, but started vomiting after the procedure.
This symptom was followed by new ones. The little girl, who said that she was feeling tired, started to complain of stomach ache.
Makenzie Gonggora passed away shortly after.
While her family was suffering from the loss of their little daughter, they launched a campaign to review the procedures applied for children who test positive for Kovid 19.
It is not yet known whether the cause of death of the little girl, who has not been autopsied yet, is Kovid-19.
