A foreign woman who left her daughter for 10 days on the street in Samsun and her mother who helped her were released on the condition of judicial control by the court they were sent to arrest.
The incident took place in Samsun’s İlkadım district, Rasathane Mahallesi Ağabali Caddesi on Friday. According to the information obtained, citizens found a baby in front of a workplace. The incident was informed by the police. The baby was hospitalized.
The police started an investigation to identify the woman who left her baby. He scrutinized the security camera records. It was determined that the woman who was followed up step by step from the security camera recordings was Hanıyeh M. (30) from Afghanistan and her mother Arıfef M. (49) who helped her.
Samsun Police Department, Public Security Branch Directorate Homicide Bureau teams caught the Afghan mother and daughter in Kökçüoğlu Neighborhood last night and detained them. Hanıyeh M. and his mother Arıfef M., whose interrogation at the Murder Bureau was completed, were transferred to Samsun Courthouse for “deliberate attempted murder and failure to fulfill their family obligation”. Journalists entering the courthouse, “Why did you leave your baby, do you regret?” Hanıyeh M. replied “I regret it”.
The mother and her daughter, who were referred to the court on duty by the prosecutor to be arrested, were released on the condition of judicial control with a ban on leaving abroad.
